It will focus on the development of written music notation, including, roman numeral analysis with bass position symbols, lead-sheet symbols, principles of voice leading, part writing, harmonic progressions, sequences, cadences, phrases, periods, sentences, two-part tonal counterpoint and non-chord tones 2C/2/0/0

Prerequisite(s): MUSC 1701 Music Theory 1 with a grade of “C” or better
