CNCT 2412 - Tool Design 4 Credits
This course covers analysis and design fundamentals required to design production tooling. The course will center around modern mold and die design principles. Content includes types of molds, plastic molding characteristics, metal alloy casting, die types, clearance, tonnage, steel types, steel classification systems, and basics of metallurgy. Prerequisite(s): CNCT 1420 and CNCT 1731 with a grade of “C” or better
