HLTH 1418 - Somatic Practitioner: Business and Ethics

In this course, students will be introduced to different types of business and ethical standards in the somatic industries of massage therapy, personal training, esthetics and wellness in the massage therapy industry, and basic aspects of a business plan. Topics include scope of practice, certifications, legal requirements, equipment options, charting, time management skills and payment tracking methods. Principles of professional ethics and interactions with clients are integrated throughout the course. 2C/1/1/0
