SMLI 1510 - Beginning Somali 1

This course introduces students to Somali language and culture. Students will develop basic competencies in reading, vocabulary, writing, grammar, speaking, and listening. This class provides the linguistic foundation necessary to achieve proficiency in the Somali language in future semesters. No previous knowledge of Somali is necessary. 5C/5/0/0

Prerequisite(s): READ 0721 or READ 0724 or EAPP 0860 with a grade of “C” or better or appropriate assessment score
