Digital marketing is a constantly evolving field that allows marketers to promote their products or services in an ever-changing digital world. While the basics of marketing still apply, digital marketing has its own specific nuances that are important to know to ensure overall marketing success. Today’s marketers must be well versed in social media, mobile marketing, analytics, generative artificial intelligence (GAI) and more. Whether you are a recent graduate, accomplished marketing professional or looking to change careers, this program will provide you with the knowledge and skills to help advance your career. You will learn traditional marketing concepts, while also enhancing your understanding of digital marketing management and strategies. The skills you learn will offer practical knowledge that can be applied in almost any organization or business.

Career Opportunities

​​All organizations, including for-profit business or non-profit organizations, have the need for communicating with customers and stakeholders. This program is designed for those who want to expand their knowledge and skills of digital, social media and internet marketing strategies. Many employers require some education or experience in marketing even for “non-marketing” positions. Employment opportunities are excellent for marketers who can engage, delight and develop meaningful relationships with customers. Opportunities and positions include digital marketing assistant, SEO/SEM specialist, content marketing specialist, digital marketing analyst, digital advertising specialist, email marketing specialist, AI content strategist, AI marketing specialist, and customer service representative.​

Program Outcomes

  1. Develop an understanding of digital marketing and social media and the fundamental shifts on how organizations communicate with customers.       
  2. Students will gain skills and abilities to analyze digital marketing and communications strategies, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to serve and deliver value that attracts new customers and develops relationships with existing customers.
  3. Create digital marketing and social media marketing plans that are integrated with an organization’s overall marketing strategy and goals.​

Reading: Score of 225+

Writing: Score of 225+

Arithmetic: Score of 225+

Assessment Results and Prerequisites: Students admitted into Saint Paul College programs may need to complete additional courses based on assessment results and course prerequisite requirements. Certain MATH, READ, and ENGL courses have additional prerequisites.

Degree option may have a greater requirement than this certificate.
