RESP 1510 - Cardiopulmonary Pathophysiology 1

An introduction to the assessment and pathophysiology of the patient with cardiopulmonary disease. Topics include: ventilation, diffusion, O2 and CO2 transport, acid/base balance, circulation, ventilation/perfusion (VQ) relationships, compliance, resistance, deadspace, and basic ECG interpretation. Must earn a grade of “C” or better in this course to proceed. 3C/3/0/0

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 1711 , HLTH 1410 , and either BIOL 1730  or both BIOL 2721  and BIOL 2722  

Co-requisite(s): RESP 1411  and RESP 1412
