MUSC 1745 - History of Rock and Roll

The purpose of this course is to explore the emergence of rock and roll music as a cultural phenomenon in the United States. Besides rock and roll, American musical styles including rhythm and blues, country, folk and rock will be studied within a historical and cultural perspective. 3C/3/0/0

Prerequisite(s): READ 0722   or READ 0724  or EAPP 0900  with a grade of “C” or better or appropriate assessment score
